Music Is My Life; The Journey Continues.

Growing up music has always been a strong part of my life. It seems like these days everybody wants to be a musician of some sort whether they have the talent or not. Music runs in my family. My grandmother used to tell us that Aretha  Franklin is our cousin and she used to sing on stage with her in night clubs in New York when they were young. I don't know why I can't stop. Music is like a drug to me. I am addicted to creating it. It is a away to express my innermost thoughts and emotions of love, joy, and sometimes justice and anger.

 I've always longed deeply to become a global talent and use that as a plate from to speak to the world at large and change lives for positive on a global scale. Though it is still a dream I can honestly say it is a dream in the making because I am living it just on a local and somewhat national scale. I gotta chance to rub shoulders with a few celebs on my musical journey. Mims, Black Eye Peas, Young Buck and Pit Bull are just a few of the major artist I got to share the stage with along with some major Underground acts as well.

 Recently I have been working on a project called "Jacked." Why "Jacked?" Well for one without the ed at the end it is the first 4 letters of my last name Jackson. Also it emplies that something is being stolen or Jacked as in..."BREAK YOSELF FOOL THIS IS A JACK MOVE LOL." What am I Jacking...Beats lol..Not really. Really I am licensed through ASCAP to perform on the industry beats that are currently on this "Jacked" Album. It's an actual Remake of songs like "High School" with Nicki Minaj, "Play it Again" song by Becky G, and DJ Felli Fels "Reason to hate" ft Ne-Yo to name a few. Why am I doing this? I thought it might be a great way to show others how I'd sound recording with industry artist and  industry beats.

 Do I have my own original music? Of course at least 9 albums that have been released publicly and countless others that have not been released to the public. I've been writing and producing underground since I was 13 and I am now 31 lol... we'll say about 17 yrs underground.  Have I had offers from record labels? Yes but some I turned down and others chose to go with other talents. So for me this album being about my 13th album underground I decided to go Mixtape style and show what I am really made of. Recently I have been in contact with industry pros like Quest Fax aka Crunchy Blacks manager, Afrika Bam and his son Afrika Islam through emails to try and work my way into the industry and become an independent artist of course earning my own money and making my own way as it should be.
